SILVER KNOTT takes Gr.2 at Keeneland for sire LOPE DE VEGA

Godolphin's four-year-old SILVER KNOTT confirmed his love of the Keeneland racecourse last night. The LOPE DE VEGA gelding delivered a thrilling performance in the $350,000 Elkhorn STakes with Flavien Prat on board when he drew away from the high class field in the deep straight and beat the hot favorite Bold Act to third place. The Charles Appleby trained convinced with an impressive late run and had put a confident length and a half between himself and the rest after 2,400 metres at the post.
